What a good website needs today
Beautiful alone isn’t enough. A website that works for you loads in under two seconds, works as naturally on a phone as on a desk and leads visitors straight to what they’re looking for. It’s accessible – by keyboard, with a screen reader, with low vision. It gets by without cookie-banner clutter because it loads no third-party trackers. And it stays maintainable: clear structure, clean copy, technology that still works in five years.
That’s exactly how I build: I write the code myself instead of bending templates, and check every page for speed, accessibility and readability before it goes live. You can see that it works on this very website – it’s built by the same rules, right down to the Latin version.

Web design in Munich: in person or by video call
My office is at Ludwigstraße 8 in Maxvorstadt, between the university and Odeonsplatz. Many of my clients come from Munich and the surrounding area – from Schwabing to Sendling, from Freising to Starnberg –, others from all over Germany. Whether we meet over coffee or see each other in a video call is up to you. Most projects run entirely digitally these days, without losing any closeness.
Frequently asked questions about web design
What does web design cost in Munich?
It depends on the scope: a lean website with a few pages costs differently from a multilingual presence with a shop connection. After we’ve met you receive a fixed-price quote that covers everything – concept, design, build, copy, images. No surprises, no hidden items.
Web designer or agency – which is right for me?
With me you get agency-level work without the agency machinery: one person who knows your project from start to finish, designs it herself and builds it herself. For corporations with dozens of parallel projects an agency is the better choice. For businesses that want a reliable partner at eye level, that’s me.
How long does a new website take?
A compact website in roughly four to eight weeks, larger projects accordingly longer. The exact duration depends mostly on how quickly content and feedback arrive. We plan the schedule together – and I stick to it.
Does my website have to be accessible?
Since June 2025 the German Accessibility Act (BFSG) applies: as soon as you sell online or initiate contracts, accessibility is mandatory. Regardless, it’s a win for every visitor – and for Google. I build it in from the start, not as an afterthought.
What technology do you work with?
Most websites I build from scratch: lean, fast HTML and CSS without plugin bloat. If you want to maintain content yourself or need a complex system, I rely on Joomla! or WordPress – whichever suits your project.
Can I maintain my content myself?
Yes, if you want to. With a CMS you get an introduction and maintain texts and images yourself. Many clients prefer to pass changes on to me briefly – that has worked smoothly for years too.
Is search engine optimisation included?
The foundations always: clean structure, fast loading, meaningful headings, meta data, structured data. If you want to move up for good you also need good content and some patience – I’m happy to keep supporting you there.
Do you only work with businesses from Munich?
No. Munich is my home and many clients are here, but I work just as well with businesses from Augsburg, Rothenburg, Schleswig-Holstein or South Tyrol. Most projects run digitally – distance hardly matters.
