When a big brand starts to wobble, what's often left in the end is one place that still wants to carry on. That's exactly what this was about.
The starting point
For years, Sausalitos was a nationwide chain. In early 2025 the company went into insolvency; of more than 40 locations, only a handful remained. The brand rights passed to Hotak-Sadat GmbH, which carries on the Munich location. The original working files from the chain days couldn't be taken over, so everything had to be built from scratch. And it wasn't meant to stay as it was anyway: adapting things was part of the brief from the very start.

Idea & approach
The task: hold on to the brand's core - the energy and recognisability Sausalitos stands for - while moving it forward at the same time. That way the Munich restaurant carries the strength of the brand with it, yet stays locally rooted and independent.
The result
The whole package came out of it: posters, business cards, reservation cards, the menu and the website - plus everything else that's needed day to day. The ongoing support carries on.
