When one of Europe's largest technical universities wants to make its digital work visible, the website mustn't get in the way. For TU Munich, a bilingual, accessible site came to life in two and a half months, shaped in short, focused rounds.

The Digitalisation and IT Systems department at TU Munich wanted to bring its work to where people would actually find it: a clear web presence of its own. What they needed was a site that lived up to the big brand without feeling heavy, bilingual, accessible, in the university's corporate design, and fast enough that no one is left waiting for it to load.
Idea & approach
Instead of long feedback loops, we agreed on short, regular rounds: fixed 15-minute video-call slots with the team. It sounds like next to nothing, but it was worth its weight in gold, feedback and ideas went straight into the design rather than getting lost in meeting notes. That's how the site grew, piece by piece, together and without any friction.
What came out of it
A bilingual, accessible website in the TUM colours: five content areas, a blog on all things digitalisation, an integrated ideas portal, and a directory that helps you find the right people to talk to. Content updates itself automatically, and the tech gets by with just a handful of plugins, which keeps the site fast and sustainable. From first sketch to launch in two and a half months.
